Question Need replacement battery suggestions

My TL is now almost 3 years old and I want to replace the battery before it dies at an inconvenient time.

The cross reference guides say that the 2004 TL takes a 24R configuration, but I am having difficulty finding any supplier that stocks a 24R battery.

If have replaced the original OEM battery what did you replace it, was it a 24R configuration, and where did you purchase it?

Thanks,

I got an Optima Red Top. The only problem with that was that it didn't quite fit the battery tray that well, which ended up being removed in the long run, and the battery cable had to be adjusted.

This is a 35R configuration: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

The group size for your car is 24/24F.
Some batteries to consider are Interstate Mega-Tron Plus MTP-24F, Everstart
24F-3, NAPA Legend 7524.
The stock battery can last a long time. I had 144,000 on my 2001 CL type "S", and
cranked fine. Once of prevention is good, though.
