Need to remove CD/Tape/Climate Control Cover Trim!
Need to remove CD/Tape/Climate Control Cover Trim!
The Car:
2005 Acura TL
Black on Black
W/Navi
The Story:
Does anyone know how to remove the plastic piece that covers the Tape deck, CD changer, Climate control, and Navi control buttons? To make a long story short I need to remove this piece to clean it. I left an unopened coke can in my vehicle. It was a hot day and, well, you guessed it, the coke can got too hot and busted open. Not only did it bust open but it sprayed all over the control pannel where the Navi, CD player, and climate control buttons are located. Luckly most of the coke ended up in the cup holder however there was a very slight misting that went over the keys. I've cleaned up all the buttons somewhat easily however I'm still unable to get in the cracks around the keys. The only real way is to take that plastic faceplate off and ensure everything is clean behind the buttons. Right now the buttons are somewhat stiff and sometimes stick/stay depressed for a few seconds after being pressed before poping back up.
The Question:
Can anyone point me to a diagram or directions on how to take this faceplate off? I also have a ford and taking trim off this car is very straightforward. My 2005 TL is another story. It's my nice car so I want to make sure it's done right. Thanks for all your help and hope to hear from you guys soon!
