need this part

Hey folks
Somehow I thought this was a sensor reader near the engine bay. It looks like a gold copper bolt which allows me to unscrew (3/4 inch) but once it came out, the tip broke and I couldn't put it back. It seems like it was somehow glued on by the manuf. and I will need to buy a new part.
The vehicle is undrivable (2004 acura tl).
Could someone tell me what this is?

please see picture

circle in black

it seems to have a connection to lower part

thank you.

I would need to order a new part from Acura, but what is this called?

thanks

This thread should be in Problems & Fixes.

That's the air temperature sensor. Part# 37880-PDA-E01 on www.acuraoemparts.com

It seems like I overtighten the bolt and broke off. Is there a way to take it broke parts that's left in there off?

Aww man. You broke the threads off in the manifold? Thats a major pain to get out.

You're going to need a large bolt/screw extractor (maybe 3/8") and a lot of luck to get that out. Since the part that snapped off in the manifold is hollow, you will be able to get the extractor n there and turn it counter-clockwise to get it out.

Check this link for some help and a picture of the screw extractor tool.

guys, how can you tell from looking at it?

It was a pain in the ass Trew. The biggest pain in the ass was me driving around the damn local shops trying to find the bolt/screw extractor. Took me 40 mins and 5 stores to find it... and ... haha... 2 seconds to take it out.
The thread has been taken out and just need to get a new sensor :'( (dumb mistake by me over tighen it.)
Stillhere, if you like to see my car someday just pm me buddy. It's not the fastest but it does the trick. I NEVER abuse it and rarely takes that car to full potential. I am one of those guys who enjoys the occasional/seldom flat foot and takes good care for me car.

thanks the help guys I am rarely on the forum but I do read

We read the forums too

Nah, I used to be a mechanic for a living. Based on the pic it looked like a probe so it had to be a temp sensor. And because it was in the intake i figured it was an air temperature sensor.

It's great to know our advice helped you. I'm happy you had no trouble getting it out. What size screw extractor did you use?
