Need help looking for a DIY thread.

So I searched here a couple of times, nothing. Tried searching Google with the word Acurazine, nothing. Anyways I don't even know if anyone created this DIY, but I need an DIY for installing Type S A-spec to a 2007 Base. Anyone?

unfortunately, dont think thats what he was asking for.

OP, i dont believe there is a DIY.
you're gonna have to take it to a body shop, or fill in the gaps your self.

What modifications do I tell the guys at the body shop? Is it the fog lights/lower grill for the front and exhaust area for the rear, correct?

I am not sure where the gaps develop.
but i do know (as do you, or else you wouldnt be making this thread) that the body lines dont match up.

if its a good body shop, just tell them...MAKE IT FIT.
they're going to have to do some cutting, bondo'ing, re'molding, etc.

^ But OP wants to do the opposite...he wants to slap a Type-S front skirt on a Base 07 bumper. I personally think you might be able to pull it off. The problem in fitting the base aspec lip on a type S has to do with the shape of the fog light housing. When looking directly at the front of the car, the base housing arcs up and away from the center of the car like a lower case "u" arcs away from its stem. The Type-S housing arcs down and away from the center of the car like a lower case "n" arcs away from its stem. This is why the base under spoiler has to be cut to fit the contours/shape of the Type-S foglight housing. The Type-S under spoiler on the other hand, wraps around the entire foglight housing. For this reason, I'm pretty sure it will work with some minor DIY tinkering. Try it. If you fuck up, then go to a body shop...

Sorry, but you won't be able to do it yourself (DIY).

It requires a lot of modifications to the bumper, and your best bet is to take it to a body shop.

I've been doing auto body work, and it's very possible to do it.
Don't expect it to be cheap though.

So you got two choices - leave it be, or spend a lot of $$$.
