Need to find New Trunk Springs

3G TL.

Installed the rear deck lid spoiler over a year ago and I have been hit too many times in the noggin to remember how many. I am looking for stronger springs.

Does anyone know where I can find these for a good price? part #?

MichaelBenz, did you put TEIN's in your trunk yet?? JK

Yeah, I am finding this really lacking too. I posted a thread a while ago that my trunk would barely open when popped and wouldn't stay up unless ALL the way up. At the time I found out when they did my deck lid spoiler they didn't reinstall the springs right and didn't replace the right one with the heavier one that comes with the deck lid spoiler. I got it fixed and was satisfied. But now my trunk "seems" to be getting worse. Part of it may have to do with the extra hardware back there (camera and cables) which may be adding just enough extra weight to make it worse again, or the springs are stretching a little bit.

I really do wish there was a way to get better springs for the trunk.

Did your rear deck lid not come with stronger spring? I have mine right here in the box with a new trunk spring.

Huh, never thought of that. With the deck lid spoiler they normally replace only one of the springs with a heavier one. Why not do both like they do for the wing spoiler. I might have to do that. Now I just need to figure out which I already have.

Does the 3rd gen TL have two adjustment settings for the torsion bars like the 2nd gen?
