Hey guys,

My names Nate. I don't post a whole lot on here (mostly just lurk) so I never really introduced myself. I took some (low quality from my iphone ) pictures recently so figured this would be a good time haha.

I drive an ABP 05 TL. It's not too modded right now but I have bigger plans. I'm a pretty broke college student so I just do what I can. So far I have:

Progress RSB
RV6 Strut Bar
AEM V2 intake
mid muffler delete + dynomax resonator (what people here call stage 3)
Tein SS coilovers with EDFC, pretty conservative drop but might go lower if I can get camber kits cheap

I'm trying to save money for aspec kit/v3 jpipe/atlp quads (or richies exhaust if it turns out great)/and wheels in the distant future (too expensive to justify right now ). doing UR pulley when I do my 100k service.

You can see the EDFC motor on the strut,





I know it still looks pretty boring and stock but it's certainly more fun to drive now. Any opinions on what the next mod should be? I'm thinking aspec kit.. once I save up the money.

 

love that color and that's a nice clean car you got there. I see someone has a 4G in the house as well.

 

Yea I really like ABP but don't see very many at all. I used to drive a 2g TL but it was getting realllly old/had check engine light on no matter what I fixed/finally stopped starting (probably fuel pump). My dad gave me this 3g and went out and bought a 4g. I'm 21 and in college so having a car this nice is completely out of my price range on my own haha. He likes the 4g but man, I wish he'd get ronjon's grill or something haha.

 

nice dad haha My parents gave me a 99 TL as my graduation present 3 years ago. Drove that for a year and got myself an 05 3G for my 21st birthday. I graduated from college 3 months before my 20th birthday.

 

Nice, a 99 TL is a pretty sweet gift still haha. I'm hopefully graduating this year and then I need to find a real job. After that, I'm saving for an Evo X for a track car lol.

Yea the coils definitely aren't maxed out, I'll likely go lower in the future. And tint was another thing I had on my list

I just need to do some research on the best place around here in nor-cal for tints. I can't stand bad tint jobs hahaha.

 

Where in Nor Cal are you from?

 

Sacramento area but I had Winston in San Jose do my edfc and coils because the wiring is a bit too hard for me haha. Some guys from azine recommended him to me and he did a great job. Probably get him to do my 100k too. So yea I'm in the bay area sometimes too.

 

Hah I had a feeling you were from sac cause of your neighborhood. Theres this place over on greenback by Carmichael Honda where we had my moms car tinted, he also took off my front tints. I think it's called evolution now. The guy did a pretty good job.

Haha actually man those pictures were taken at my parents house in Manteca. Stockton/modesto area. Thanks for the tip on the tinting place though. I'll look into it.

Hah I doubt it. He's not too into cars, just as long as they have a good stereo (the 4g's isn't bad)

I keep trying to convince him to fix the grill of the 4g but he says he doesnt mind it. says it looks like a batmobile. sigh.
