My HIDs dont Look Blue
My HIDs dont look blue when I stand in front of my car, but other 3G (and 2G!) TL HIDs (on the road comming in my direction look blue to me. They still have the high intensity discharge but they look hyper white rather than the (normal) blue. Am I crazy or is this common?

I don't feel my HIDs are blue, either. And other cars like BMW or Nissan are all blue-like HIDs... I think this is normal due to the way Acura sets up and the HIDs Acura have chosen.
How's about standing further and checking again your car? All 3G TLs should be the same...

You'll notice the blue effect if you come up behind a vehicle with a chrome bumper ... it depends on the angle your viewing it at .. they do appear blue if you're at a specific angle.

bluish with orange "burn" mark on top of light (when viewed against a wall).
This is "normal" on the TL - meant to prevent blinding oncoming traffic but could also be compensation for lack of auto-leveling (prevent blinding others under load when lights pointed higher).

I didn't think my lights were blue either. After following my wife in traffic one night she said she could spot me way back in traffic because of my "blue headlights". Must be the viewing angle.
If your lights are really bothering you, there is a company called JDM, which installs a hi/low kit for out 04 TL... Lemme grab some pictures for you...
I hope these pictures help somebody out, I was going to purchase a set, but they are around $400, and decided I could spend the money elsewhere... Best of luck and the website to purchase these lights, the owner of the importer actually has TL, and those are pictures of his car...

Dont forget that a blue tint, means a different color and a worst lighting capability.
It's change the colour temperature. White give you a better light than blue.
I read on a G35 Forum that a lot of people change for more blue light and they where dissapointed by the bad night vision they have compare to stock bulbs.

The lights I posted about with the pictures are 8000 Kelvin, visibility should be decreased with these very slightly, If you want a more blueish hue without comprimising visiblity, go with 6500K or 7000k light kits, they are harder to find of course... What sebounet is referring to are the purple and blue light kits, which reach Kelvin ranges anywhere from 8000-14000, 8000 being the best visibility for this desired blue appearance...
