Hey guys, i i got in an accident on tuesday. I was hit while making a left turn. I'm really mad right now after all the work i did on the car. But just wanted to share it with you guys.

damn man...that looks awful. real sorry to see/hear about this. glad you are ok. that looks like some significant impact. hope everything gets sorted out for you in the end. a car can be replaced, you cannot. keep your head up man, things will work out.

 

Im ok just bruises and sore all over my body. The air bag deployed and smacked me right on my face and neck. I was making a left turn and the car hit me and the car swung to the right thats why its facing the way it is right now. If you look at the second picture and see the glimpse of the ford explorer thats what hit me....only damage to his suv is passenger front and its not even bad just a new headlight...align the hood, and new fender. Tell me something guys...how fast you think he was going to hit me that hard.....one car was able to stop but he didn't....probably wasn't paying attention.....speed limit is 35 on that road.

thanks sharks....im glad im ok it could have been way worse.....cars probably going to be totaled ....and ya materials can e replaced but lives cant.

your ride looked good and specially those rims....keep ur chin up....i think insurance is going to total the car....get a 08 type-s ....and you will have a newer better shark....i know its easier said than done....my condolences.....

That is a wicked lick you took... an explorer totally my 1964 Impala in a corner to corner accident... he drove away and I went to the doctor for the next 9 months... be really cautious and get checked out if you even think anything is wrong... my back has been hurting me since 1989... and it hasn't stopped yet... my dos pesos...

That's a though one on totaled or not, could be if both bags deployed and that nose is pushed over enough, suspension tweaked enough, etc... Might be able to pull it back straight.

Judging by the damage on your car. I would say at least 35. I'm assuming 20s~30s wouldn't do that much damage. 10s~20s is a for sure no. It doesn't matter how fast he/she was going. As long as you get money from insurance, you are safe, and that person might wanna invest some money in driving lessons.

^I didn't even notice the emblems until you said something. They look really good with the wheels.

 

sorry guys i've been resting a lot lately….the insurance company got me a rental and its a ford focus base model lol….can't wait till i get a new car if they total it….the police report stated that i was making a left turn and i didn't yield which is bs cuz im young and the other guy was older and cops tend to blame the young ones more….
I really don't think its repairable and give me a few hours il have more pictures up

integra92red- the wheels are not heavy at all they are actually real light and they would clear brembos….only one air bad deployed and that was my driver side one…suspension i had it real stiff so idk and pulling it straight i doubt it theres a lot of damage under the hood.

cjTL- ya painting them gold was a pain ….taking them off and taking of the tape from back and then painting them and applying fresh tape behind them and realigning them back ….was tough at least for me due to the emblems wouldn't come off easily…..i loved how they matched with the wheels perfectly

Sorry dude, you turned across oncoming traffic which had the right of way. If you were 99 and the kid who hit you was 16, the report would read the same: You're at fault. Sorry about your car, but it's no one's fault but your own.

If my TL were to be totaled out right now and my budget was only the value of the totaled car- I'd be looking into a used E60 5 Series BMW. When I got my car it was a toss up between the TL and that. Most of the Bimmers were trashed though. You could always get another TL too.

 

i feel you on this.....if i was 21 and pretty much the only person in the car and or 1 passenger i would def go in for a mustang or a 350/370z or something in those lines....

very sorry about the car but.. nfnsquared is right, this exact thing happened to me in my previous car. the light was green, i was making a left turn, and got hit, the speed limit was 40km/h, from my view looking up there was a slight bump/hill so i couldn't see anything that was at least 5-7 car lengths away. the woman driver hit me on the back of my passenger wheel destroying my axle, bumper,quarter panel, etc. but sure, she said she was going less then "40km/h" (25miles/h). BUT, guess what i was at fault for "improper turn", got a ticket and had to up my insurance for something easily avoidable.
the woman could have easily switched lanes or swerve alittle to the side to avoid me but nope. I couldn't see her but sure as hell she saw me.
with that said, its your fault by "law".

 

thanks everyone....i bought back the car from state farm for almost 4 grand and now im selling it for 4900 to a local body shop....deals not final yet due to the title.....

im looking at a Lexus IS 250 or GS 300 both 2006 or a 2007 Infiniti G35 Sport

 

I like the IS more than the G when it comes to the interior, but the IS is no match for the G's power.

glad your ok man. almost a similar even happened to me but it was the other guys fault.. I would say get the g37, the IS is too small for my taste.

Glad you're ok. Hopefully you won't have any lingering pains and such. As far as your vehicle choices, I've always been fond of the GS 300 styling, the performance is a touch too tepid for me, but it does make for a nice daily driver.
