My car in intenstive care

Well last Friday, my wife was coming home from work when the driver in front of her came to a dead stop in the left hand lane for an ambulance going the other way. My wife was able to stop in time without hitting the car in front of her (thanks to a $150.00 brake job done on Monday), however, the person behind her in a GMC truck could not stop in time, hitting the rear of our TL and pushing her into the car in front of her.

Luckily everybody was ok, but my wife had a few sore muscles. So far the damage total is about 8K. I won't get it back until sometime early next month so now we are stuck driving a four banger Altima. I want my ride back!!!!

My type-s taillights are both f-ed up!!! Damn it!!!

oh damn, well you and your wife probably already know she should have kept a safer distance lol. but we cant say we have never been careless in driving. shit happens.

good luck with the repairs man. hope you get everything resolved. and as long as no one was injured, you should not worry.

If someone could help me by dragging the other two photos on this thread instead of using the link, I would like to thank you in advance!!

I am only upset of knowing I have to drive a damaged/wrecked car. I understand accidents happen, but the stress of dealing with this for the past week is making my wife and myself nervous wrecks.

I thought the OP said his wife did stop in time, it was the driver behind her that failed to keep a safe distance

To the OP- hope your wife feels better and your TL gets repaired to your satisfaction.

No, my wife was not at fault. The car behind her hit her and pushed her into another car. The parts total is about 4K and the rest is for labor and paint. No way they (insurance) will total it out.

I want to thank everyone for their nice comments about my wife getting better. She is now a little paranoid about driving.

The good news is the body shop is going to replace the front grille and rear tallights with type-s parts.

I will post more pics when it is finished.
