My 1st problem

Couple of days back I tried to put the Cargo nets in the trunk and driverside upper button/hook/anchor came off. I also noticed that the plastic is smudged as if somebody tried to put it with pliers or something. I think the threads are worn off since it does not thread back in. Went to the dealer and asked him to fix it. He said he does not know what it is called but will order from Acura. I wonder if dealer keeps anything anything at all in stock. Anybody with same problem?

There are TWO different thread patterns for the cargo net holders. One is like a machine thread that takes a bolt, and the other is coarse like a screw thread. I took a couple off and tried to put the wrong one back in the wrong place and it wouldn't go, so that's how I found out. Sounds like someone took some off and maybe forced a couple back in the wrong places. I wouldn't think the threads in the body are messed up, but you can check it out.

Hmm...why was someone else messing with your trunk bolts in the first place? I would be asking the dealer some very pointed questions about what was going on. Ron A fiddled with his own trunk bolts - that's fine - but no one at the dealership should have been f'ing around with yours, jogan. Something smells fishy to me.

TLGator, That is surprising. I had my car for 4 months now and never even looked at these hooks. I do not have any idea why somebody will play with them before the delivery.

Ron, this is the one like a screw thread. I think all on the trunk floor are like bolt and the upper are screw cap type.

jogan - I have no idea either. But those bolts sure should not have come out on their own. I must have tried all 347 different ways of hooking up the nets until I found the one I like best (also the one I think is actually the intended design, but who knows) so I was pulling those hooks like crazy as I put the nets on and off. They are in there solid. So if yours weren't, somebody f'ed them up either at the factory or the dealership. Maybe it's no big deal. Just seems strange.
