Monday is a big day for the TL

A fresh set of shoes. Brank spankin' new replicas (Type-S) and some "Nankang" tires.... Dunno. They're all weather and very inexpensive so I'll give them a shot.

3pm- drop my TL and grab an SUV to run home to get my goodies. Run back to the shop and mount/balance the set. Thoroughly check my left front suspension for and cracks, bends, flaws as I lost against a curb the other night.

Likely throw some new pads and rotors on while I have it on the lift.

Can't wait to get everything mounted and installed

I remember back in March I picked up a set of Pirelli P7 AS+ tires. My TL felt like a new car and it was awesome, completely different feel from the worn Dunlops that were on them.

Hope the tires are good and the replicas are of good quality.

New wheels and tires are exciting to get! I have had the replica TLS wheels for almost 2 years now and they have held up beautifully. They went through 1 winter and it didnt bother them. Congrats man!

Is there any discernible difference between replica type-s wheels and the stock ones?

I have seen some of the Type-s waffles which are definitely silver or chrome as opposed to the normal charcoal color. They look terrible like that IMO.

I worked at an Acura dealer and loved the Type S wheels, but the silver OEM color just doesn't match AM. I came upon the replicas and they were the perfect color to match the car. There is no difference that i found at all besides being half the cost and the right color for my TL. I did however buy new OEM Type S center caps though They matched up perfect.

OP, be sure to post pics!

That is what I mean... all of the TL-Ss I have seen personally have the darker, charcoal rims... is that not OEM? Silver waffles would then be aftermarket.

From what I've seen the OEM can vary from a light charcoal to almost silver. So for me the stock color was too light and i wasn't going to spend double the price. Left is OEM and Right is the Replica. I love the dark with AM.

Cool. Well, I just assumed, perhaps erroneously then, that all stock rims were the charcoal grey. I will have to look into this more.

They are darker than OEM as seen in my previous post and they roll smooth. I'm very happy with my set and in TL-GIXXER's new thread he is as well. >https://acurazine.com/forums/photogr...brakes-931085/

Definitely right, I wanted Type S rims for my AM but I just wasn't sure how I thought they looked on our color. The darker ones flow better with AM as 0uTL's pictures show.

Those look better than OEM Type S Wheels on NBP in my opinion, I might be getting a set when my TL needs new shoes.
