I've got this one in my car. It goes very well with the interior, and the overhead blue lighting reflects on its shiny surface.

Just popped out to the parking lot and voila!

Note that the tapered silver ring is an extra item (also from Momo) that you have to buy separately.

I have that shifter on my car right now. Actually, a variation which is the "air metal". The shift knob is just like that one but the metal insert has "holes in" sort of like the perforations in the center seat cushion.

The main difference you'd feel is in the effort that's required when manipulating the shifter. Owing to the fact that it's top-heavy, it gives a distinctly different sensation when changing gears. The "Sphere", as it's known, does indeed have more girth than the stock shiftknob, but it's certainly not to the detriment of the gear-shifting experience.

Do note, however, that if you have a ring on your right hand, it is likely to leave scratch marks on the brushed aluminum finish of the shiftknob.

Oh, a caveat for those who intend to install a Momo "Sphere" on their automatic TLs, aside from having to purchase the "gate finisher" (see photo) to complement the shiftknob (giving a more integrated look with the narrow stem), I've found that the ideal height of the shiftknob is best achieved by inserting two of the rubber adaptors on the inside of the shiftknob prior to fitting onto the stem.

Just thought I'd mention that.

I saw the shift boot finisher but not the gate finisher that would be required for an automatic.

You'll find information about the "gate finisher" (the tapered metal ring in the photo above) from Momo's flagship website.

http://www.momo.it

Go to the Shift Knob menu, then select "Gate Finisher" from the pop up menu.

Happy shopping!

I don't think the gate finishers are avaiable in the US. A Quotation from a Momo dealer.

Hello,
Unfortunately, Momo tells me that this is an item that was featured in previous catalogs but not available to the US market. Therefore, we are unable to bring one in for you. Thank you for your inquiry and sorry we could not help you.

Best regards,
Customer Service

You might want to try one of the many parallel importers (grey market vendors) who aren't official dealers. They certainly wouldn't be hampered by what is or isn't on the official product list.

And it's strange that that very same part is available on the Canadian Momo website:

Thanks Sebring.

That is strange! They even have the Combat shift knob that I prefer that is discontinued in the US. Momo USA sucks as far as their product availability.
