Moleskin cut or not?

hey aziners, i found these 2 DIY threads on how to install felt/moleskins, but yet still have a couple questions.
1/http://www.acuraclubsa.com/DIY/moleskindiy.htm
2//forums/f41/tinting-windows-must-read-free-moleskin-53336/
thread 1: even though there's a picture with a scissors cutting the moleskin, it said not to cut the moleskin because that will create glue marks, and recommends to use 1 piece to cover both blades.
thread 2: on the other hand, said to cut the moleskin into 1/4'' strips.
Beside the obvious recommendations difference in both threads, what do you guys think?
I got my moleskin from http://www.empirepao.com/ It's 1'' width

Yeah, do not cut it. I did and the adhesive that holds the moleskin in place streaked onto my windows. So I was constantly cleaning my windows. Although after a month or so, it went away.

so I guess the answer to this thread is do NOT cut. but i don't know if 1'' is just enough to cover both blades or is it a little more or less?

Remember, you're only covering the tip (that touches the glass), so you really don't need it that wide. One inch should be fine.
