Mirrors Tilting down when in Reverse

I have a quick question about the mirrors tilting down when I put my 05 TL in reverse. Should both mirrors tilt down, or just the drivers mirror. Seems I remember both mirrors were tilting before, but now just the drivers mirror is tilting. Am I wrong about this, or is there a setting I need to adjust or change? Please advise.....

Only one mirror will tilt at a time. So if you switch it to the drivers side, only the drivers side will tilt. Same with passenger side. When the switch is centered, no mirror tilting.

Thanks. I must have had it on the passenger mirror when I saw it tilt, and did not realize the driver side was not tilting also.

thanks again for the info.

only the passenger side tilts down, but when u turn the mirror controller to the left, it would turn off that tilt option.

Both mirrors tilt down, it all depends on which mirror you have selected. Personally, this has spoiled me. I don't think I can buy another car that does not have this option.

Yeah but doing that sucks because then you gotta wait till the next time you drive to get the mirror exactly where you want and im picky about my mirrors being perfect. I think the mirror tilt feature is great.

Both mirrors in my 08 Jeep SRT8 tilted down it was nice. Speaking of that SRT8, that thing was the ultimate for backing up LOL. Both mirrors tilted, it has rear parking sensors with LED display and audible tone, and backup camera. If you manage to hit anything while backing up in that thing your pretty dumb haha.

If you read the add carefully, it's stating the deluxe model is for both sides to tilt down, but still one at a time. The regular model is for just one unit or one side. That's the way I ready it.

but dont both sides tilt individualy already? or is this just on the newer 3G TL's? (im still learning since I just got mine about a month ago) I'd just think you'd wire both these boxes together and have both tilt at the same time. haha

I love this feature, saves my wheels! I am good with one at a time, I don't need both because I can't remember ever backing into a spot with curbs on both sides lol

I wish it tilted a few degrees lower. I now have to keep my mirror in normal position quite low so when it tilts I get a better idea where that rear tire is........And for those with tints, at night you will find yourself having to roll the windows down.

Don't be lazy I curbed my A-Specs even while the mirror was tilted because I was careless. Now with my WORK wheels, not a scratch.......I am CRAZY beyond careful with my stretched tires and fat ass lips. I lean over to get a direct visual on the lip of the wheel. Talk about ASKING to be curbed please, lol. I take years to parallel park while others make fun of me. I don't care as long as my wheels are good.

why would both mirrors tilt down at the same time??? your head can only look at one direction at a time silly...i mean are u parking in a spot where u have a curb on both sides??? lol
Im sure Acura's engineers thought about this very hard.

not sure if this is just for the 07-08 TL's. but both mirrors tilt on my 07 TL. just have to have the car in reverse and the mirror switched over to the side you want to tilt.
