Mirror disassembly

I just purchased 07-08 mirrors to put on my 04. I was wondering if anyone knows how to disassemble to get ready for paint? They came but I need them painted white and id rather take them apart myself jsut to be safe. I'm mainly worried about taking it apart where it folds so they don't paint it together (you'd be surprised)

Pop the mirror off and unscrew every T10 screw that you see including the bottom. Watch youtube on popping the mirror it takes very little force if you are prying in the right place, don't break it.

The housing splits in two after your remove all the T10 screws, the last screw is not exactly where it pivots though, just a little further to the inside of the car since the housing clicks together around the pivot point. Here is the diagram for the housing I just replaced on mine, so you can get an idea. As a side note, if you have issues with color matching, the housings come prepainted from Acura for ~120 and are a perfect match.
