Me vs. new V6 Camaro

Wow is all I can say. Are they that slow? Gorgeous car, but ...we fooled around no homo then merged onto a highway from the LIE. He was about 5 cars ahead of me n punched it after the curve. I followed suit and ended up passing him like a baton @ the top of 4th.

Definitely not the 6spd.

if it was a highway race he probably would have faired better as an auto...

im thinking he was a bad 6 spd. driver...

and yes, like most of the re-bred muscle cars..the v6 versions are all poo compared to their v8- big brothers.

Good kill.I ran one in the wifes' stock 3rd gen TL slushbox on the highway, after he instigated of course. I didn't think I had a chance, but it was real close, he quickly exited the highway.

Nice kill! The new camaros weighs quite a bit even with the 300+HP V6 pushing it around.

I'm sure he was on it. As we merged onto the exit ramp there is a straight away and he hit it then. He was literally about 5 cars ahead of me when we went around the curve. I don't know if he kept it punched until I passed him but I know he was on it for a good bit because it took me from the bottom of 3rd to the top of 4th to catch him. And when I passed him @ that speed, he wasn't going much slower...

Either way I thought it was pretty weird myself. Oh well.

no.. not weird at all.. That thing is almost 4k lbs & it definitely sounds like he was throttling to keep up. We can say you put a bus length on him..

Also I hear that the 6AT on the Camaro is just as aggressive as the 6MT..

Well, the 6MT runs low 14s @98-99, similar to a stock TL/Accord 6 speed. I still can't see me putting over 5 lengths on him even with my mods. I guess I'll never know

Majofo, I demand a avatar change.

Nice kill, the new camaro's weigh 500-600lb more than the TL I believe, maybe that was the difference.

lol straight murdered,
i had a run with the new camaro as well in the summer and was NOT IMPRESSED, the guy was weaving in and out of traffic ended up next to me at the light. I thought i was gonna get killed, light turns green n we take off, to my surprise i pulled on him, just barely. Let off around 70 and he was at my rear door. They're nice cars but they just aint that quick lol

you must have been doing ~128mph when you let off. 4th gear is great in our cars

Yeah you guys have got to remember that previous model V6's were HORRIBLY slow, we're talking 16s with rare 15s. These new ones doing mid/low 14s (even in auto form) is pretty impressive considering it's the "slow" base model. Good kill none the less.
