I haven't had time to go through the manual, but was wondering if there is a way to turn off the food/gas station icons on my map screen. Some places there are so many that the roads look like a blue mess.

try voice commands:
Hide gas stations
Hide ________

I think that is it although I don't have my car yet. Should work

 

Tap the upper half of the Setup/Info button. On screen 1, near the bottom, select "Show Icons on Map". The next screen will diplay a list of icons (ie - gas stations, ATMs, hotel/motel, etc.) that you can select or deselect.
