Maintenance questions

Hello.

I'm the proud owner of a new to me 2006 Acura tl, My tl is a one owner car and have 100,000 miles and i wanted to know what maintenace needs to be done to keep her running smooth? I'm not new to owning a acura tl, I currently have a 2nd gen 1999 tl as my daily driver with 211,000 miles and she runs great so i couldn't resist buying a 3rd gen. acura tl. I'm not sure if the maintenance schedule is the same as a 99 tl so i wanted to ask you guy's that own a 3rd gen. a few questions? What type of spark plugs should i use? I use atf dw-1 for my 99 tl so i got that covered, I like my 99 tl but the 3rd gen. body style is sooo awesome....Thank's

Maintenance Schedule & Recommended Fluids - Page 207 & on
Spark Plugs - Page 271

Take a quick look through the whole book. Again all this information has been asked beforehand so take use of the search function before asking in the future.

Congrats on the purchase btw!

yes, maintenance is the same as your 99.

change all fluids, change brake pads and rotors, etc....NORMAL maintenance for any car .

Take off the timing belt covers and shine a light down there. Does it look oily? then chances are you'll need to do the timing belt soon.

A lot of these cars and other v6 hondas show up on the used market around this time due to the major service at ~105k

Some curveballs that may be thrown your way, all WELL documented fixes here:

(1) Main control arm bushing known to fail around 70k
(2) Unexpected battery failure is likely to be a faulty HFL unit
(3) Engine whine likely a $0.54 o-ring failure at PS pump inlet
(4) Throwing VSA and other codes randomly? Likely the APP sensor
(5) Automatic shifting oddly? Likely 2nd and 3rd gear pressure switches
(6) Hot/cold air mix off? Likely the linkage cable and heater valve

WELCOME! These issues aside, all one needs is routine maintenance for many miles of happy motoring.
