Why doesn't the J-Series Get Much Love?
This is something I seem to always find myself wondering and I'm interested to see if someone can help me to understand this. It seems that generally the J series engines don't get much love when compared to other Honda/Acura engines(K series, B series, F series, or even the D series) I've driven and rode in quite a few Hondas with the 4 cylinder engines and I couldn't ever really picture myself owning one but the second I drove an Accord with the J30 it just seemed to be a much more pleasant engine to drive! When I eventually got my TL with the J32 I just couldn't be any happier! So why exactly do the other Honda engines get more aftermarket support and more...I guess infamy from car enthusiasts?
My opinion the k series and the older 4 banger engines are more asocciated with the ricer civics and those cars are much more moded.
Plus my second opinion is because the smaller engines are more boost friendly so it gets more love by the mod community

^ what he said and no one wants to put the R&D work just for a few hundred cars, when they use the time and money to make a product that will sell to a few thousand people.
