Low VIN Number, should I worry?
I am reading things about concerns with low vin numbers. The last 5 digits of my 04 TL VIN is 00772.
Are there any known issues with earlier numbers, that I should worry about? The only problem I have noticed is that when I am cruising around 55mph, the car seems to vibrate. I have already scheduled an appointment to take it in for that.

Some people say it is more risky as they may not have worked out the production bugs. I am not sure of that. They produce a bunch of cars for press reviews prior to official release of production cars. There may be some initial quirks but not many. My 02 Type S was 0102 and I had no problems. I was just curious about your VIN because you got the car so soon. It would be interesting to know the VIN of the first car sent to a dealership.

Sounds like a wheel-balancing problem. Does it seem to vibrate less (or not noticeable) when you're traveling at a lower speed?

Yeah at lower speeds I do not notice the vibrating, only when going at about 50-55 consistantly. And also at 95-100, the same thing, I pass 100 it's fine, and anywhere inbetween is fine.

There have been complaints of poor wheel balance in other threads, that have been fixed by a visit to the dealer for rebalancing. I haven't had this issue, but if I did, the dealer is the first place I'd call.

The vibration you all are feeling are the tires seating in. Drive the car about ten miles with about 20 psi in the tires to help build heat into them. Then correct the tire psi to specs right away then drive the car another ten miles at the proper tire psi. If after the tires are still doing it after 1000 miles after the aforementioned procedure then consult the dealer.
