Hey just a quick question. I have a 2006 Acura tl MT non navi. when my car indicates it has low fuel, it only shows a little orange dot. Isn't it suppose to show a fuel pump on the MID as well, like the manual shows? Thanks for any answers .

 

Yes, it should show a fuel pump and it says something like: LOW FUEL.

 

ive had the low fuel light come up on the dash but never had the fuel pump on the MID come up....

 

Same with mine, I just get a dot.

Light only for me. What chapter/section/page in the manual are you seeing this?

 

MID chapter. Where it talks about the different funtions it has

 

05 TL- only get an orange dot type light. Nothing in the MID.

 

I only get the low fuel light. 06 MT nav.

 

Here's the 04 OM chapter on the MID. Nothing about low fuel symbol. Are you sure it's actually listed? Maybe you confused it with the low washer fluid symbol for Canadian models?

On my 08 TL-s it shows the low fuel on the MID. But I think it's rather annoying. I rather just have only the orange dot. Is there a way to disable it on the MID?

 

I'm guessing there is since it won't show on my car when it's suppose to

 

it will only give such a warning on the 07-08 TL models.

 

I wish the orange dot dimmed with the rest of the dash lights. That damn thing scared the #@!@#%* out of me one night when it came on while cruising down the highway! (I drive with the dash lights fully dimmed at night).

 

Good to know because obviously my '05 doesn't do this. But I'm glad it just has the orange dot and not the fuel pump graphic.

Just to clarify, I have an 07 TL-S.
After reading a bit more into this, I think the icon is only on 07 / 08 models.
