For the love of cars
I proved to myself today that I'm a car nut. My TL's in the body shop having those damn bumpers repainted. The loaner was a TSX. Today I washed, clayed, and Zaino'd it. Yeah, how effed up is that? Anyway, thought I'd share the results. By the way, the TSX is an excellent car. The thing I prefer about it the most (for you AT owners) the SS doesn't automatically shift out of 1st.
Questions about detailing to follow... Let me know your thoughts.

That is the First. I've washed a rental through a car wash just out of guilt before, but waxing takes the cake. Let me know when you decide to come out to CA for a vacation. I've got a bottle of Zaino and a TL that you can have a good time on.

No, there was nothing better to do. We had just gotten a new kitten the day before and my wife was playing with her. I was sitting around mourning the absence of my TL and needed something to take my mind off it. I'd put over 1000 miles on it and felt a certain kinship with it. And lastly, I'm considering starting up my own detailing service and wanted to test out my skills (it was in pretty bad shape when I picked it up.) I also wanted to test out some detailing techniques that I didn't want to use my TL as a guinea pig for.

Mr Superlove...any time frame given by your dealer? I was told painting should take no mare than 3 days, but I am sitting here 6 days later with no TL. By the way, I can appreciate your desire to keep the TSX shining....unfortunately, I have gone through 4 rentals in the last 6 days, the most recent of which is an RSX. Never realized how quiet our cars are until I started piloting the RSX....I really need my TL back :banghead:

What worries me is that the mananger said they were trying to contact the Acura Rep to ensure "we can get paid." Well, the service manager told me the first time I visited him about the issue that the Rep agreed to have the bumpers painted ONCE.
I've purchased four Hondas in the past year. This had better get resolved. I'm worried as hell.

Good Job Super! I hope I get your loaner next time. I do understand doing this - it's called PRIDE and not wanting to be seen in a car that doesn't look it's best. I have washed and cleaned rentals, but not polish - yet!
Besides, Zainoing only takes a few minutes!
