Not sure if I want to do another one but if I do it might be the last for awhile. So those that missed out if there are enough of you interested I may be down for 1 more time. Next time it won't take as long I don't think.

Thanks to all those that contributed to the tip jar as well.
It's worth the drive for anybody in the local are (Richmond to NYC ). Chris does an excellent job cutting and programing the key . After saturday's workout, he can do it in no time at all. Thanks Chris.

Potential new meet for keys!!!

I don't know what the heck happened!!! I just started a new thread for people to post if they wanted to come to the new meet Chris said he might be willing to do and they erased it!! Can't you at least give an explanation when you do that so whatever I did wrong I won't repeat???

So I am posting it here then. I got a PM response from Chris saying he would do this again for no more than $75 towards the end of this month if I could get at least five more people. So I am starting a list (including myself of course). So hey guys, if you missed the first one Saturday because you had to work like me, or just didn't have your key back yet, let's get it going man!!!!

I responded to it as well. Oh well. Just use this thread. This will probably be my last at least for the next 4 months or so. So if you want it done on Feb. 24th I guess just post up using this thread since all the info is here anyways. Price will be $75ea. key if it's a small group and $50ea. key if we can get as many as this past Saturday.

3rd gen only. The transponders are completely different on the 2g and 3g TL's. I can however just clone you a key for $50 blank included. However, if you are wanting this style flip out key from the new TL's you would have to disect a key for the transponder. While you are at it you might as well just use your key blank as well. Not worth having FLBUSA mill the key. Not for you anyways.

Yeah about that. LoL, we did have someone drive from NYC though. You just have to decide whether or not it's worth it to you to make the drive or just save a day worth of driving and get it done locally. Personally I would probably stay local just becuase I don't want to drive 8 hours on my sat for about 15-30 mins worth of work.

I have one mem1 switchblade style key and 2 sets of remotes and original keys and one valet...can I use the chip out of the valet key to replace? I can just retrofit the keyblade from the valet key onto the switchblade and switchout the innards? btw, does anyone know how much it is to install the alarm for the new tl's? worth the money or trouble for the key?

Alright!!!!!!! A minimum of 5 is what we needed for the Feb. 24th date! That makes the price $75. If we get some more guys, we can proly knock it down to the $50 mark (if turnout is like 2/10). So anybody that ordered a key in the area, get your name on the list!!!

I don't land until 11:00 that night. I'm not sure they'd wait on me to get there but would be more than happy to drive directly there since it's only 10 minutes from my house.

just got my key, fits like a glove. I am trying to program it via the instructions BuT i guess i messed up. NONE of my key fobs work now. I realive that the instructions state to press the lock or unlock and you hear the locks go...i thought i did. Any how none of the key fobs are working now. So do I just start from scratch and try everything again? or is there some thing else i have to do since none of the fobs are working.

just want to make sure that the mid does not have a set number of tries before it locks or something....i feel like a retard!!!!!!!!!

peace

I hope I don't sound like an idiot, but does that mean you can't drive your car now until you fix that? Or you just can't operate your remotes?

The car will still operate, only thing that wont is keyless entry, panic button, and opening trunk via fob

I hope the second meet comes together. I may come up just to get out of the house (and away from the 8 months pregnant = extra cranky) wife.

Great time standing around in the cold. Finally got around to digging the meet pics of the phonce cam.

Does anyone drive anything other than white or black?
