Well I sure didn't want to hi-jack the Virginia thread, but certainly got curious as to why it appears that only Virginia needs to get their keys cut by a professional. I should be receiving my key back from Pete shortly and wondered where the Kentucky folks are getting theirs cut and programmed?

Now the next question is will the moderators allow ONLY Virginia to have a thread or will their be room for the other 49 states?

Well thats because they have someone in the thread thats going to give them a deal on cutting their keys. Just look in the phonebook and call some locksmiths, also if you look in FLbusa's sponsor thread there is an ongoing list of places. I can honestly say I can remember seeing anyone from Kentucky on here. Just call places

Can or can't? (You use the word "anyone" in the sentence which makes me think you meant "can't).

Anyhow, I started the thread in hopes that Kentucky too can be lucky enough to find a "someone" that will also give us a deal on our keys as well. I was only joking about the moderator comment as this post does meet the criteria for this group. After all I am asking for help with a third generation TL, which is exactly what this area is devoted to.

The Acura dealer in nashville wants 82.00 to cut and program my key.

I appreciate that info...I actually travel to Nashville for my job about once every two months (and it is actually in my power to decide when ).

I live pretty much in between Louisville (45 minutes away) and Lexington (30 minutes). Heck for that matter Cincinnati (and N. KY..aka Covington) are only about 1.5 hours away. All of these and Nashville are easy for me to hit.

By the way, is there only one Acura dealer in Nashville?

Other than the $82 to Gary Force, what was the cost to get the switchblade key? Any other charges?

the cost to purchase the key and the cost to get it modified to use in the Gen 3 TL's ..... Mem #1 cost $28.00 and Mem #2 cost $58.00 both can be purchased off of Ebay so far I paid $28.00 for the mem #1 key and $45.00 to get it modified by pete
