Locking/Unlocking Doors ??

Ok, I know that when you take the car out of park, it automatically locks all the doors. Now, I could of sworn that the first couple of times when you take the key out of the ignition after you park the car, that the door automatically unlocked, maybe it was just the drives door, not sure. My car does not do that now. Am I delusional, or did the car never unlock automatically? Does anybody have any auto unlock on their TL's? I browsed through he owner’s manual, but couldn't find anything.

It is an optioin that can be set-up for each driver. Go to MID set-up screen and scroll through the options.

I have mine set to unlock when I put the car into Park. Doors lock when car reaches 10 mph. This is all settable from the MID set-up screen, as mentioned above.

Basically, RTFM

Ok, thats what I thought. I don't have the Navi so I don't know what "MID" setup your talking about. I'll have to read the manually throughly and try to program it so it unlocks when the ignition is turned off. Thats a nice feature. Thanks.

The MID display is the trip computer, etc on the dash. It's not specific to the NAV.

You might be using the second key fob by mistake. Each one can be programmed differently.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if you set the doors to unlock when you put the tranny in park, or for that matter if you set them to unlock when you turn off the ignition, either way it's only the driver's door that unlocks if you have also set the first push of the fob to unlock only the driver's door.

Whoa, that was kind of a run-on sentence. Does it make sense? Am I right about this?

i think you are right i know i am using the same key fob. the other one is a spare and i am the only one that drives the car. the unock driver or all door setting applies to both the ignition/park setting and the unlock button on the fob. meaning if i set just the driver's door to unlock, when i turn the car off only the driver's door will unlock or when i push the key fob once only the driver door will unlock. if i set the unlock all door option when i turn the igntion off all the doors unlock or when i press the unlock button once all the doors unlock. i don't see a way around this unless i am doing this wrong. try it on your car and see what happens. what i would like is to unlock all doors when the car is turned off. but retain just unlocking the driver's door when i press the button once.

Yup, I would like that configuration also (unlock only driver door with first push of fob, unlock all doors with park/ignition off).

And I think you're right that we can't have it both ways like that.
