You have Lo-Jack, not early warning? Price looks ok, but too good fro Early warning.

Friends of mine have early warning installed, they periodically test their system every two weeks. Most of time Lo-Jack sends them signals or notification btwn 20 secons and 1 minute. I think it's pretty good in NYC area. (not Houston... :o)

Meanwhile, they said it isn't saving too much in their insurance premium though.

I got the LoJack w/ Early Warning for $575.

The Early Warning works, but ... It sure isn't early.

The fastest response I've seen for the Early Warning is about 35 minutes. Sometimes, it's been over an hour before I see the responses.

I'll admit that it's "earlier" than if I leave work and notice that my car's gone at the end of the day. However, I do question how effective this will be for cops in my area to locate the stolen vehicle. Maybe the system's response was slow those few days. I'll try it again in a week or two after I have transferred to my new cell phone company (that has a Bluetooth phone).

GotJazz, you definitely make my friend feel terrible. He got it by $875 plus tax. But he's happy with the respondent time in where we are, I'm sure the reception and performance would be varied by areas and cities. It cannot be as perfect as XM in states.

Anyway, he sets up my cell number into his five, so I always got this lousy early warning message everytime he is testing. :o (his wasn't working well in the beginning, then the tech of Lo-Jack came to adjust/replace the system two times and relocated his Lo-Jack. Finally this system for him is working seamlessly and surprisingly good.)

Lo Jack lifetime installed w/o early warning

I got my Lo Jack without early warning, but is lifetime and installed for $465 total.
I have been considering adding early warning. Anyone know how much to add after original installation is done?

Though I support the installation of whatever anti-theft devices anyone wishes to install, I personally wouldn't reveal what I've added to my car on a public forum. We live in a crazy screwed up world where almost anything's possible, and you never know whom or what is out there reading all this. I for one have removed the Immobilizer stickers from inside my front windows.

Early warning is when they call you as soon as the car is moved. When you called to register your lojack you get them 3 numbers to call in case your vechicle is moved without authorization i.e. phone phone, cell phone or pager etc. The logic behind it is that you'll have a better chance of recovering your car with minimum damage.
