In clicking around on eBay in search of a car cover... I ran across these Led Turn Signal Arrows that you can put on your mirrors. They come in Amber, Red, and Blue.

Anybody installed anything like this before? Do they really work well or are they junk?

I know turn signals on the mirrors are a great safety feature, but aesthetically, I hate them.

Um.. just get the car cover and forget you ever saw that. That's just horrible - installation will be a pain in the butt, too (drill this, remove that, glue sh*t together).

Don't worry about me, I don't mess with wires. I'm no electrician. I did order my car cover. Moving in a couple months into a place w/ a garage... so my baby will have it's own shelter from the elements. Staying w/ my parents in the meantime. They have pine trees that like to drip sap.

I'd rather mod the side marker lights to flash with the signals than stick these things on my mirrors. It's just the sort of accessory I'd expect to see on that Accord pictured, though.

If 06 TL comes with side marker lmirror ike TSX, I would rather get that mirror.

Definitely tacky. Only the ones that go under the mirror so you don't know they're there (except when signaling of course) would be acceptable.

Regarding side turn signals, the 2004/5 Acura TL happens to be THE ONLY CAR ON THE ROAD with front fender side marker lights that don't blink with the turn signals. I'd be happy enough with just converting them. You'll find the schematic and directions on how to do it by conducting a forum search.

What pisses me off is that the Acura models above AND below (RL & TSX) come equipped with turn signal mirrors, so WTF was Acura's problem not giving them to us? I'll bet you'll see them on the '06!

Very tacky. When you first mentioned them, I thought it would be under the mirror and the LEDS would just shine through. But these are just ghetto. They look terrible.

well, if you get them, be sure to get the car cover too, so no one has to look at them! Pretty ugly. Not really sure of the value/usefulness they add either. When I am behind someone I would look at their brake lights before I was looking at their mirrors. You gotta do whatever makes YOU happy though.
