LED Questions
Ok.... So I want to replace the licence plate lights on my 04 TL. I would like to get as close as possible to a Lexus look as I can. I know you can get them off of ebay and other places. I just want a set that will cost me more now and save me in the long run if need be. So with that said, does anyone have any suggestions on where to get them and which ones would be the best quality.
Also..... I would like to replace all of the interior lights with a hyper white color LED. I know there are a ton of threads on here about them and I can search for them...... I have read almost all of them. Tech Toys seemed to be the most popular back in the day. All of the threads has led me to this point where it has all just ran together and I have no idea where to start. So if you guys could give me your best shot at what would be the best quality as well as looks.
What would you put on your car or what have you put on your car?
Thanks guys!

Doesn't get any simpler than that.

Yeah, Bright White/Cool White/Super White all have that blue-ish CC look.

It's very hard to judge what the color output will be for any given LED. There are so many color variations it's hard to match what you want sometimes. Color stretches most of the visible color spectrum. Even within "blue" LEDs there are so many types. I have seen blues from aqua to cyan to violet.
White LEDs are derived from blue LEDs so that's why you'll see a hint of blue or purple in them. Nowadays they are being described as "cool white". There are now white LEDs with a hint of yellow that are being described as "warm white" which try to emulate the glow of an incandescent bulb.
In general the newer SMT bulbs I'm seeing nowadays are are less bluish/purplish than the traditional cool white LEDs.
