LED lighting - Interior/Exterior? Question.

I know there have been so many topics about this but I don't understand a thing about exterior/interior lighting or what bulbs to buy or where to look etc.
My questions are...

I want to change all my interior lights to white LED lights. Do the 194 LED bulbs from Autozone enough? To my understanding there are 6 interior lights. Correct?

Also, can I change my daytime running lights to white LEDs?

Can I also change my fog lights to white LEDs?

If its as simple as just changing the bulbs where and what specific ones do I need to buy?

Thanks everyone in advance for all your help

Q1: Correct. 2 front, 2 back, 1 each side of front doors. You could do vanity mirrors, but useless and a pain to remove.

Q2: Buy iJDMToy or VLEDs DRL harness and purchase a 9005 LED bulb of your liking.

Q3: Buy any H8 LED bulb to your liking. Remove old bulb and replace with new.

Did the vanity mirrors a month ago, they were annoying. Location makes it annoying and the way to take them out makes you feel like you're going to break everything.

But hey, now my never used vanity mirrors have white LEDs.

I replaced the vanity mirrors two and bent the metal frame. And just fyi if you go to do the license and reverse lights with LEDs, REMOVE THE TRUNK LID TO MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER. Also, if you do LEDs for reverse, make sure they're not the same type as what you use for the interior, they won't be bright enough, you'll want something with a lense. I used these as my reverse lights and they're definetly bright enough

Anyone ever use these for their fog lights on their 07/08 TL? I never seen a bulb like this before

Same here, bent the metal frame and slightly damaged the plastic lense. It's not like you look directly at the light too often though.

Remove the lid??? That's overkill. Just remove the lid liner, there's like 8 pop out plastic clips, just sit in the trunk and look up, takes 15 minutes at best.

That was my main concern, didn't end up scratching or bending any... but I had to apply much more force than you'd think would be needed.

I ended up going back to stock bulbs inside. The LED ones bugged passengers too much, esp in the back, where the light is right in your face. Kept LEDs on the doors, glove box, center console, trunk, license plate and reverse lights. Also did the DRLs.

I switched my 12 SMD leds bulbs for 5 SMD leds bulbs for the same reason, 12 was way too bright and in your face. 5 is just a nice white glow, similar to the stock bulbs but in white.

I actually meant to say *Lid Liner* , the lid liner would be way overkill. I tried to replace the license plate lights by just removing the plastic cover and it took 2000x longer than just popping the lid liner off. By the way, does anyone know how to replacethe one inside the center console?

Note on the center console, the wire is very short, you need small hands and whatever you do, don't let go of the wire once out of the lens otherwise it might go inside the console and then you'll need to pull the whole thing out to find it.

Nice! Great info! Thanks so much.

Can I install these for both the fog lights and DRL without using the Harness?
Robot Check Robot Check

Also, what should I see use to replace the license plate lights? 194?

The two clear panels parrelel to the license plates...are those the reverse lights?

You can use that for your fog lights, no harness needed, just remove old bulb and plug new one in.

With DRL, any 9005 bulb you buy will work but you need to buy a harness.

Yep, license plate lights are 194.

Yes, those are the reverse lights, bulb 921

I had to do the vanity ones, I wouldn't have been able to stand having them mismatched.
