Leather in '04 TL
Several people have posted on Temple of VTEC that the leather wrinkles too easily. Is there any truth to that?

I have a very nice Italian leather sofa. It has feathery soft cushions and is covered in glove-soft leather ("buckskin"). Yes, it stretches, wrinkles, and leaves "butt prints" - but I have owned it since 1997 and it's still going strong. No rips or tears (except from where my cat clawed the back of it). This couch was just about the most expensive model they had, specifically because of the soft leather; we could have had the same couch covered in cheaper, stiffer leather, and saved several hundred dollars. But this was so much better to sit on that we gladly paid the extra money (and waited while they built it for us).
Bottom line, I wouldn't be so quick to call the leather in the TL "cheap" just because it's soft and stretches/wrinkles easily.

Some people seem to be having problems with the leather. I have 1100 miles on my 04TL now, and I'd say the seats still look fine. Sure you can tell that they have been sat in, but that was true with other cars I've owned that had leather seats.

I don't have the new TL, but I just bought a 2004 Lexus with premium leather, I guess the leather in the Lexus is better than the one found in the TL, the Lexus leather wrinkle very very easily, the car now has about 2000 miles on it, and I have noticed wrinkles in the driver's seat when the car only has about 300 miles on it, so I assume wrinkle in the leather doesn't mean that the leather is of poor quality.

The wrinkling in my seat is there but seems to improve overnight. I'll provide pix when I get a chance.

The better the quality usually showed more wrinkles which is normal.
