I have a stupid question but i do not really know the answer. I leased an 05 TL. I want to do some mods, like maybe rims or a body kit or something but are there any penalties at the end of the lease? What if I get the stuff installed by a acura dealer?

 

i leased an 06 and the rule i use is .. if its easily reversible .. then go for it

I am doing the dom mod soon(pnp), and plan to leave it in there when the lease is over for the next person to discover. I also put a RSB on and soon intake, coilovers, etc. and have ordered the window up mod and tail light tint. The only thing i will take off before taking it back might be the coilovers and tail tint, everything else is gonna be hidden for the next person to discover.

 

LOL...how are you going to hide a CAI?


I leased mine too and am modding it somewhat...I will most likely just buy it out at the end of the lease and sell it for more...and with a-spec kit and all it will be worth a lot more than it's residual value.

 

They are not going to give u extra money for leaving that stuff on are they? I would take that stuff off, put the stock back on, and if u dont get another car u can use them on, sell it on ebay! GAS MONEY!

 

lol i was considering taking the dom unit off and the rsb and mabey selling it, but im not sure if the amount of work to get the stuff off is gonna be worth it three years from now.

navi to dvd ... basically mods your navi screen to receive input from a backup camera and another external source.

search for it, you might find it an interesting mod for yourself.

Just a note, if you get the A spec body kit, its not reversible becuase you drill holes in the back, but they might not mind it being on the car when you return it, since its an OEM part.

But I dont think you get anything back for it. Personally, I wouldnt mod a leased car.

 

I've put A-Spec suspension, Comptech SS and RSB coming on my 05 lease. I just plan on leaving it on, except for my 19" TSWs. I figure I'm just investing a couple of grand into the fun I'll have driving my baby for the next three years.
