I just bought an 06 TL. Blue w/navi. Its 200% better than any car I've ever owned.

I want to have it tinted, but I'm not from L.I. and don't know where I should go. I live in Nassau County. I'm very nervous about screwing it up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, I've never tinted a car. All I know is that I don't want it too dark. Enough that you can make people out on this inside. From what I've been reading 35% seems about right. Any suggestions here would be a big help too.

i got mine tinted at the Tint Shop..its on northern blvd in great neck....its off Lakeville road and its across the street from the Biener Audi, i was satisfied wit the job. I got 35% and i love it, i too never liked too dark tints and with my SSM and my ebony interior i think its a perfect blend.

Ive got all my car's tinted at this auto/stereo shop in syosset(exit 43 on the L.I.E.).They did a great job on all my cars and havent had a problem with any of the tints yet (my oldest tint done at the shop has been around 4years and no problem yet). The price is $200 with a life-time warrenty on the tints. If interested PM me ill give you more info.

got mine at tintmax.com...guy is awsome to deal with...did 2 of my cars and my cousins car...satisfied everytime...uses lumar and is really good with his work...if u want to go soon we can go together cause im going to get my taillights tinted

Did they tint the rear quarter windows all the way to the back? Or do you have the gap in the tint?

whats the going rate to get a TL tinted?

some told me anywhere from $150 to $200 but $150 seems too low? for a sedan, I paid about $130 for my integra and they didnt do an excellent job, it was ok but not great, it was somewhere on Northern Blvd, and I wont be going back.

The best tint shop in the tri-state area is Lorenzo Tint NY, in the bronx. Lorenzo did my tint on my 04 TL and I get a lot of compliments. Lorenzo technique is to leave no gaps in the window,so that you won't see space between the window and the tint. Also...the common problems with the TLs are scratches you may get if you tint your windows. Most tint shops don't use moleskin to replace the rubber guard that is on your door panel, as a result of not replacing the rubber guard. Your windows will get scratched, when you open and close your window. I paid about...$400.00, but the entire windshield was tinted,sunroof,and the rear quarter window was taken out so the entire quarter window could have tint. Check out Acurazine meets for GSP meet Feb 26, check out my 04 TL redondo red and the other crew of Acuras.

ACURACY don't get me wrong, the tint shop on northern blvd acrossed audi dealership is pretty good (i got mine done over there as well), however coz our TL's rear door has two small pieace of glasses which is really hard to get access to, so they kinda massed up a little bit. (kinda like two visible stripes hanging out at the rear small glasses) anyways, a friend of my who is also own a tl, he took to a place on rosevelt Blvd in flushing, the "master(a chinese way to call someone who do their job well)" over there did an awesome job, you can't see those two stripes at all, so you might just wanna check them out. (the location is at intersection on rosevelt and college point )

No way am i saying the tint shop is the best hwchien but i was just satisfied with there job. I dont have any marks on my 2 small back windows. also they lined the doory with moleskin for me.

i did mine 3 weeks ago from a place called Exclusive on rackaway blvd. $150 20% all around except windshield. tight arount the edges. i suggest going anywhere that has a good price & stays busy. 2hundred is 2much. i didnt get felt/moleskin so far, no scratches

Exclusive did a few of my other cars in the past..they did them pretty good too...i think the guyz name was ozzy and his brother colin...i work down the block from them...The only reason i went to the tint shop cause i recommended by some members here.

add one more vote for Tintmax.com, absolutely no gaps anywhere to be found. This guy has an account with the police department in Queens, he tints all their DT cars. But the nicest part is that you tell him the make model and year of your car and he comes with the tint precut. Absolutely the best tint I have ever seen on anyones car.

If your in nassau, theres a shop called speed world on sunrise highway, in baldwin, the zip is 11510 if you want to look it up, they did my sisters G35 and it looked great, never had a problem with it. It cost $180 for the back, doors, and quarter panels.
