I currently have 07 base with Base A-spec front and Type-s Rear.

So these are the 3 options I am contemplating on.

1. Keep base as is

2. Retro fit type-s honey comb fog grill inserts to fit base

3. Go Type-s Front Aspec kit

I'd keep as is

 

I would do something different and go with option 2. If you dont like it you can always change...wont kill ur pockets as much as choice 3.

I gonna cause trouble here and go against the Type S Aspec Kit. I like your TL the way it is. It seems everyone suggests the Aspec Kit. But I think it's too bulky around the fogs-they look like heavy side eyelids to me. It looks like a Snap-On piece (I can hear everyone else cringing now). I think the lines on your TL look the best just the way it is now.

 

my honest opinion, go with a type-S conversion and make it better:

Re-do the front end to the Type S (I think option #3)
Change Exhaust
Change J-Pipe
Remove Cats (install Pre-cat Deletes)
Install CT S/C and whip type-s's...

 

Aspec is nicest

 

the TYpE S Aspec is just gangsta

 

Keep it how it is. it looks really clean. type s aspec looks kinda bulky and stuff. i mean it looks nice but its not for everyone.

 

Which exhaust? I already have a type-s conversion in the back. Type-s exhaust and a-spec in the rear. Headlights are also retro fit and tail.

As for Change J-Pipe & Remove Cats (install Pre-cat Deletes) thats coming up in the spring.

CT S/C= $4000 g with the sale going on...... Hum... before I spend that on S/C...I will pay a visit to the BMW dealer.

I love the clean look of the base A-spec in the ftont... but can't stop looking at the agressiveness of the type-s front

 

Before I was never normally a fan of the whole type-s aspec, but lately I think its growing on me. I'd say option 3 for sure.
