Just joined the TL community
Hello Everyone,
Today I bought myself a 2006 TL Non-Nav (Silver with Gray Interior). Its in great shape and so far its been awesome.
My last daily driver was a 2nd Gen Lexus ES300. One of the things about that car I really enjoyed was the awesome community online (ClubLexus).
When I was looking at the TL, I was very excited to see another awesome community around the car.
I look forward to joining in the fun around here, and thanks in advance for the help and support!

Welcome wellsfargo!
AT or MT? make sure you check the AT fluid condition as their transmission tend to be very finicky. If MT, please disregard. There's a lot of great information within the confines of these walls, search around and I'm sure you're going to find some great information!

Thanks all.
Don't have any real mods planned just yet. However, already got some transmission pressure switches and DW1 fluid on the way for some transmission maintenance.
I do think the stock rims would look much nicer in black so I might plasti-dip them for the fun of it.
Also have to do something about the lack of an AUX input. May attempt an iSimple install this summer.

My ES300 rides nice, but the steering is much lighter and the ride more squishy. Clearly the ES300 is going for a much different ride feel than the TL.
This may be treason to say around here, but I really do like the ES300 as a whole. Its a great car, super reliable.
We will see. So far the TL is more fun to drive. Reading the threads here has got me worried about the transmission though.

The TL feels like a different car. Considering the age, the TL tech is better as well as the quietness of it (imo). I love the stiffer suspension and the heavier steering though, I like the road feedback.
To compare the two companies as a whole. I feel Lexus really does try to be more luxurious and it is. The ride comfort of Lexus vehicles exceed those of Acuras. However, I feel Acuras are more "driver oriented" with a touch of luxury, they're more spirited and fun to drive compared to Lexus.
Every now and then I take out the 13 GS350 we have in the family, awesome car. However, it just feels numb compared to my TL.
Welcome! There is allot of great knowledgeable people here. Also if you have Facebook you should check out the group "generation 3 Acura tl". And for pretty much anything you need (even if it's just maintenance parts) you should check out EndLess RPM from oem to aftermarket they have it
