Just drove the C240 kompressor around the block

HOLY CRAP

Thats all i gotta say.....wow.

My last car was a 1991 Acura Legend (drove it for about 2 years) and now I have the TL ( had it for about 4 months ) so I wasn't really used to the RWD platform, but my dad threw me the keys ( its his rental, AMG is in the shop ) and said I could take it around the block. Luckly for me, my hood is HUGE and has lots of twists n' curves and circles So I started her up, rev'd it up a little, and went. It has some MASSIVE pull for such a small car....felt a LOT faster than my TL. Anyways, after gunning it, I let go of the gas and entered a curve....and it took it with NO problem, so I tried applying gas....and it didn't nudge! It just kept eating that curve up! I was starting to get used to it and took the turns at higher speeds ( don't worry, this part of my hood is completely empty ) and man....it was FUN. The steering was so spot on, the gas had a great feel, and the brakes were AMAZING. Deff a fun car...but guess what?

THE INTERIOR RATTLES! hahahaha

The bad parts? Hm....the seats were pretty uncomfortable, but the leather "felt" better than the TL's. It also had ZERO room....i'm 6'1" and I had a hard time getting comfortable in that car...also...count out the back seats b/c they shouldn't even BE there. All in all, a veryyyyy fun car....I may consider a trade in down the road. Why did he let me drive it

I just sold my wifes 2004 C230 Kompressor last year. The thing about any forced induction car ((Turbo/SC) is that they feel faster than the actually are.

On paper the car 0-60 and Qtr miles times are way slower than the car feels. Every person that I drove in the car said that it felt fast. Not that it was slow, but it feels faster than it is. I think the TL was toast it in a race.

That's just becuase of supercharging, its making alot more low end torque than it would otherwise. VW turbos are like that too. Max torque from 1800rpm to redline pretty much. But without HP they're really not that fast.

Don't be fooled by the emblem that the benz got. It's still, It's still a car to drive around the block.

Haha, wrong section, needs to go in Car Talk.

Funny how even the vaunted Benz rattles. Goes to show everyone....it's not just TLs that rattle.
