Question Jdm 3.2 inspire engine & us/can 3.2 engine.

Does anyone know if a JDM 3.2 engine would work with a US/CAN computer? Would it just be plug and play? Or are parts different??

Stick with the '04-'08 3G TL powerplant as the older A1 engine would surely have different harness/sensors, less HP, and I believe they even have cylinder deactivation on some, far from plug/play.

Cause I have a 2004 JDM Inspire 3.2 engine and I want to put it in my 05 Aspec. So everything should be ok?

you'll need ecu. The power on the J32a was 225 hp. J32A2 raising output to 260 hp. The J32A3's output in the 2004/2005 TL is 270 hp. Giving that the SAE corrected hp on our A3's is now 258hp, imagine what the A1 is. Your car will be the slowest TL with that engine.

Thank you so much, so I'm better off with another 05 engine

I believe they're premium is a higher octane, so whatever it's rated it would be lower here. I don't see the point in the swap.

Yea I'm just going to get another 05 engine. I have one more question do you know if a 3.2 automatic will fit manual transmission?
