I just purchased a motor and was told told it was the jdm replacement for my 07 tl type s but im trying to identify what motor it is but can really find any info online any help is welcomed thank you.
JDM motors don't have a 5th digit, it's just a J35A.
If you need affirmation..... I bought a J35A from JDMEngineDepot out of Belleville, NJ back in the beginning of November, and already have 6,000 miles on her. She showed up on a pallet looking like it only had ~20K miles (they claim they're between 45-65K), dropped directly in and bolted to the transmission no problem. All important sensors (crank, cam, injectors, etc) all plugged directly into wiring harness I took off my old motor.
The only differences were minor: EVAP purge valve tubing was a different size, heater core hose had a 90* and needed some trickery to get to work, the bracket on the front valve cover that holds the wiring for the front coils can't be used.... minor stuff like that.

At least you were cognizant and purchased the correct displacement for your application. Like twokexlv6coupe, report back, as well, with any additional 'tips or tricks' you encounter.
