Its a sad day.....
It's a very sad day for me.
I traded in my '04 NBP AT no-navi yesterday. Basically it came down to me having more money to spend during the month. After getting a divorce back in Febuary, everything hit me pretty hard. I need money to fix up my house, pay off a ton of bills, etc. I ended up getting $25,000 for the TL and traded it in for an '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Wow, talk about a major change in driving experience! The KBB value on the TL absolutely sucked. For "good" conditon with 24,000 miles it estimated a $23, 400 trade-in. Apparently mine was based on"fair" which only came up to an estimated trade-in of $21,000. I couldn't believe it! I thought our cars held much more value than that
They still gave me $25,000 for it though, which I thought was pretty fair considering the payoff of $30,000 that I already had.
Anyways, I had a great time reading everyones input about our cars, whether it was good or bad. I found this forum very useful. I still love my TL, even though someone else will be driving it around. Everyone that knows me is wondering why I'm so down today. I keep telling them I lost my baby.
They say I'm acting like somebody died or something. It's that bad. I will miss my TL. I can't say that I will miss those freakin rattles, though. Maybe after paying off some bills and such I'll be back around in a couple of years with possibly a newer, more improved TL!
Take care everyone.

If you wanted extra spending money you should of never got a Jeep. The gas mileage on Jeeps suck. Highway your luck to get 20mpg. You should of keep your TL or gotten a better car to lower your payments. With the Jeep your going to be spending similar amount of money each month.
Sometimes money situation dictates one to downgrade....

And why would you buy a Jeep? How long of a warrenty do you have left? THose things are notorious for breaking down, not to mention the horrible mileage (compared to the TL) like someone else said.

I mean, I would not want a car that functioned similarly and resembled my old car, but had few features, it would be too depressing. I would go out and get something completly different(not neccesarily a jeep). The only jeep I would buy would be a rangler, id add tons of aftermarket parts and unlike most people, actually go offroading. The thing I hate about jeeps is no Independent suspension.(my dream car is an armored hummer H1 with tons of tech added in, and towing a bugatti veyron in a trailer

I can attest to your statement. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee before the TL, and it started falling apart fast. Granted, i traded it in with around 112k on it, but it started going downhill well before that. The gas mileage averaged around 14mpg. I loved my Jeep though, and miss some of the things my Jeep could do compared to my TL. Oh well, can't complain now.
