Yours is starting to break already? I haven't even received mine yet! LOL

Anyway, they do have a 3-year warranty and it's a small shop that seems to stand behind their product and promises.

Yeah, it is! I used it this weekend in the hot California sun and the velcro strip started to come off. I just gave Sandy a call and she's sending a replacement strip for me. She says that it could happen if the person rolling the shield is doing it too quickly and the adhesive doesn't fully "cure" to the backing.

Thanks for saying so, Modeler. I was beginning to think I was the only one still waiting for delivery.

Modeler, thanks, my package seemed to arrive my home today finally. I'll check it out and try it tomorrow.

Just try to wake up this old thread and say thank you.

Modeler, thanks for organizing the group purchase of heatshield. I received mine and it works great. I can definitely feel the cooler interior. I just wished it wasn't so bulky. Thanks.

Just go mine yesterday thanks. The duty I paid getting it over the border was more than the cost of the heat shield, can you believe that?

The shades are really good, makes a lot of difference in keeping the car cool. I ordered both front and rear. The only problem I have is the suction cups tend to come loose on the rear shade. Its an easy fix with some crazy glue. I would definately say get the shades, they fit like a glove..

Good luck, this is a really old thread. You may want to call them and try to get the same price.

I would be interested also. I will email them and see how many we would need for a discount.

Here is the email for them: sandy@canvasworks.com

Gadget, you might want to post another thread and see if we can get a group buy like the previous ones.

Guys, this group-buy was over in 4 months ago. We welcome you guys discussing how they are, but please don't post any new group-buy info here or in this forum.

Please go to Blackmarket Group-buy sub-forum. Thank you.

I bought one of these as part of the group buy. Frankly I've been disappointed with it and don't use it much. It's very stiff and hard to maneuver into position. Previously I had a generic shade that was softer and very easy to use. This one works okay once in position, although it has a tendency to try to close up at the corners. Mainly it's just a pain to use.

Other people seem to like it, so you have to judge for yourself, and I guess the only way to do that is to buy one.

Ha, kind of agree this part , but overall, this one is good enough to me, I probably wouldn't get the good quality sunshade as this one by paying the same price.

Months later, I still like mine and use it regularly, almost daily when it's sunny and hot. It takes a little work to get it into position, but its function is well worth the cost.

Attn: Those interested in a GB.

ARKK and I have talked to the administration of this site and have gotten permission to do a new and FINAL group buy for the canvasworks sunshade. It will be done in the Black Market section of the website under the group buy subforum, which is the proper place for this sort of thing.

Arkk has been in contact with Canvasworks and the tenative agreement is $15.50 plus S&H, thats almost 50% off the original price.

I need to talk to Arkk and Smitty some more, but once all the details are worked out, next couple days, I will post back here with a link to the new group buy.

In the meantime if you have questions or recommendations on the GB feel free to PM me, as Rets has said, do not post them in this thread.

GB has ended.... if Canvasworks wishes to become a vendor on the site, have the company contact me on here and then we can see about putting together a legit GB, we have paying vendors on the site and the free advertsing is not fair to them since they pay for advertsing.

Case closed.

legit...

if you guys want to post where you bought the sunshade from and tell other members how they can get it, then fine.... but there will not be ANY Groupbuys unless sunshade comes to see one of the Admins or me to pay for advertising... then we can set up a Groupbuy in the blackmarket Vendors section.

Doesn’t make much sense to stop this group buy after 7 pages and 5 months of people already getting it at a group buy price.. I understand you wanting them to pay for advertising, but also think this should be grandfathered in.. I’m not trying to stir up anything just feel new members should have the same chance to get a product that was already obtained via group buy.

Please...

Policies will always be amended by varied instances and circumstances. I work hard to make this thread unlocked ajar. This GB for the sunshade was history already, yet some information and feedbacks here would be the practical and enlightening sources for newcomers.

Please don’t put any GB query or qualm here, the obliteration will cut it fine from now on. (Unless we get the green light, GB won't be allowed in 3G forums anymore.)
