WI 2004 TL Pricing

We are seriously considering buy a 2004 Navi Redondo Red w/ Ebony TL. Our best deal so far is $33,500. Is this a decent price? We hoped to do better given that it is the end of the model year. Should we wait for 2005 model? Does anybody know anything about pricing on a 2005 yet?

Not the best, but it's very good one.

NO official info about 05TL yet.

05: better resale value, possibly a few new features, higher MSRP, less discount.
04: more discount, has almost everything 05TL is going to have...

If no hurry, you may wait until the end of August and stike a deal.

I preordered my RR/Ebony 6MT Navi in Feb and delivered May. $33,195 plus $100 doc fee. $33,500 is really good. If it's a 6MT there might be more wiggle room as they are not as popular. That goes out the window when you preorder but I was thrilled to get $2000 off list that early in the MY.

Oh yeah, and I forgot about over $700 net I spent on 4 Pilot Sport A/S...

Thanks for the replies. I have never purchased an "import" before so I'm not sure how they play the game. I'm trying to figure out if the dealer is truly offering me a decent price or not. My gut feeling is that I should be getting a better price with it being so late in the model year. Any one willing to offer up an educated guess on price increase for a 2005?

Several people already have in other threads, but it's the "educated" part I question. No one really knows for sure, obviously, and it depends if there are any significant changes to the model, which no one who knows is talking about in these forums.

If I were in your position, I'd make an offer on the '04 at the end of Aug (or end of Sep if it's there that long). Try to bring them down a bit, but not too much. This is easily the hottest car in its price class, so I would think the MSRP would go up for '05, and then you'll be paying at least full MSRP. You didn't mention if it was 6MT or 5AT, but the rumor is they're discontinuing Redondo Red for next year's TL, so that might make it a slow mover and work out to your advantage as well.

I just ordered mine on July 31 (can't wait, 2-4 weeks)
I had hard time pushing the dealer to sell it for invoice
Went all the way to Long Island to get $32,120.00 price.
The car was all year long in very high demand and will
be.

This is how they are MATHing around with us !

$32,120.00 - $8,000.00 = $24,120.00

NY Tax 8.625% for $24,120.00 = $2,080.35

$24,120.00 + $2,080.35 + $12.50 + $30.00 + $30.00 + $24.25 = $26,297.10

I Left them Deposit of $1,000.00 on my Visa Credit Card

The amount I am financing is $25,297.10

I hope this is clear.

And the Accessories I bought for CA$H

Well, I bought my Automatic w/ Navi Redondo Red w/Ebony today. We pick it up tomorrow! I'm giddy with anticipation!!!

The deal was $33,500 with wheel locks, splash guards, and protection package. Seemed like a decent deal for the midwest area. Any thoughts?

What is included in the "protection package"? That is a really good deal if you planned on getting those accessories anyway. Columbia Acura (Cincinnati) always throws in wheel locks for free, and gave me floor mats at cost. Let us know how you like it--hopefully you're on your way to get it now!

The protection package may just be floor mats and trunk tray. I like the floor mats. Always wondered if the trunk tray really does anything useful... but I suppose the first time a milk bottle opens itself in the trunk I'll know.

Mad Russian, I don't understand these figures, could you please explain a little bit. Great job on your deal by the way. What were your other quotes before you go this one? How much haggling did you have to before getting the price at invoice?

I scanned my original invoice and posted on this website, 3 days later got a call from my dealer was told to remove the invoice from this forum immediatly or he will NOT sell me the car !
He said hundreds of people called him asking for the same deal.
I am glad some 850+ people saw the invoice and saved !!!
some even printed and went straight to the dealer.

this is where it's started http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89629

P.S. - the yellow and red is what's left from the invoice after I croped it. And MATH is $8000.00 for my 99 maxima trade in that' all.

Although newcomers cannot see your original invoice anymore, they still can see your breakdown out there... They know what price you have got... The best price so far...
