Insurance costs

Considering an 04 TL non-nav. Also like the 04 Saab 9-5 Arc. Is the TL most costly to insure? I'm pretty sure the TL is considered a 'sports sedan' and the 9-5 a 'mid-size sedan' with a sports sedan costing more to insure,

30 year-old male driver
No wrecks/no tickets in 5+ years
$100 deductible

Previous car: 2001 Saab 9-3 SE Vert - $597 every 6 months

New TL: $547 every 6 months

Not sure if this helps at all.

If you can post your possible age/info..., your local fellows may be able to help more... That's the number you need to know...

Knowing the insurance rates of other states/areas sometimes is very frustrated... We're high, most of them are low, extremely low...

If you call your insurance company they should give you quotes for both cars. My TL runs about $475 for six months, less than what I was paying for a 2003 350Z.

My agent told me they consider any 4-door car to be a "familt" sedan. I am not paying sports car rates.

Who's your insurance company? With Allstate, my G35 coupe is cheaper to insure than my wife's TL.

I'm with State Farm and carry very high levels of insurance (demanded by the large umbrella policy I carry). The Acura will be ~$580/6 Monts and the G35 would have been ~$550/6 Months. My wife and I are both in our mid 30's with no accidents or tickets. We have all of our insurance with State Farm which helps lower the rates. They would be significantly lower if a) we weren't carrying such high levels of insurance and b) New Mexico didn't have one of the highest rates of both uninsured motorists and drunk drivers which adds a very large uninsured motorist clause to the policy.
