Hey Guys,
Was trying to install my own air filter, i ordered the Beck/Arnley from RockAuto.com for the 2005 TL.
I had a hell of a time trying to get the housing off, but then when I eventually did, and compared the original filter (the original one that came w/ the car) to the one from Rockauto - i noticed they are different sizes. and the standard Acura one is a regular rectangle. The new one seems to fit in there ok, but I can get the housing back on there just right so the 4 bolts fit into place.

I looked at this thread for tips on how to get the housing off, but mine doesn't have a clip on the cable running from the battery to the filter, mine seems to have a black twist tie attaching these..

Either way, my question is, do you think this is the right filter, or should i go w/ one of the other suggested filters on rockauto.com that look more like the shape of the OEM one?

Looks like you may have to get one that looks more like the shape of the OEM one or just get a CAI
