i need a reliable auto body that does great work. somone scuffed my rear passenger side bumper while pulling out of a parking spot and left without leaving info. there isn't a dent just scuff. i'm in piscataway nj. can anyone recommend a body that is not going to over charge me. i'm not going through my insurance. thanks.

 

this may be stupid to say but.... if its just a scuff go get some wd40 spray it on the scuff and after a minute u might be able to wipe it off....

if not... then i know a good shop in north jersey?

You know it's gonna cost you at least $400 to fix... from a reputable place... 'cause they have to spray the whole panel with your color...

It's a little further away but my baby has been there a few times already. My TL-S has been there to have the front lip replaced, 8K front end damage and also the painted my grille! In addition, they did a hell of a job repainting my Envoy NBP to match my TL-S.

I've had nothing but great experiences from them. Although I never hope to have to go back because I've had enough bad luck.

I haven't had it done but I spoke to a dealership and they have independent guys that come in and fix door dings and other guys that fix scuffs and airbrush match the paint. I got a quote of $130 to fix my bumper from a Ford dealer.

 

at least its better then paying for the damage PLUS deductable if he had gone through the insurance... because if your paying through the deductable you are basically paying it yourself.

 

exactly. i rather pay out of pocket because my deductible is $500.

 

I'm not sure where in central jersey you prefer but Key Auto Body in Matawan, NJ does some good work.. They've done mine and a few 3rd gen. TL's and probably 1 or 2 from this forum.
