Installing Engine Air Filter-need help
Hey Guys,
Was trying to install my own air filter, i ordered the Beck/Arnley from RockAuto.com for the 2005 TL.
I had a hell of a time trying to get the housing off, but then when I eventually did, and compared the original filter (the original one that came w/ the car) to the one from Rockauto - i noticed they are different sizes. The Beck/arnley is diagonal in the corner...see picture here --> http://info.rockauto.com/BeckArnley/...ml?0421667.jpg
and the standard Acura one is a regular rectangle. The new one seems to fit in there ok, but I can get the housing back on there just right so the 4 bolts fit into place.
I looked at this thread for tips on how to get the housing off, but mine doesn't have a clip on the cable running from the battery to the filter, mine seems to have a black twist tie attaching these..

Either way, my question is, do you think this is the right filter, or should i go w/ one of the other suggested filters on rockauto.com that look more like the shape of the OEM one?
Thanks in advance

After conducting a search, I found this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...Farnley+filter Not much info really.
Looks like you may have to get one that looks more like the shape of the OEM one or just get a CAI
