Ink on the Side view mirrors?

Did anyone here notice what seems to be ink on the side view mirrors?
It looks like a stamp mark which is present between the glass and the reflective material which makes the mirror.

At first I only noticed it in the mornings with the mist/humidity.

Has anyone here brought their car in to the dealer for this, and if they replaced the mirrors, were the new mirrors without this ink/stamp mark?

BTW, I only have about 800 miles, and the creeks and rattles seem to be starting,
I am starting to hear slight rattling by the driverside door area as well as right behind the driver in the rear door area as well.

I've noticed the stamp on my passenger side mirror and was going to mention it to the dealer when I bring the car in for it's first oil change. I thougth it would just need to be cleaned but it's not on the surface.

I have about 650 miles and I'm begining to hear the rattling. First was the passenger door. I removed the rubber thing in the door pocket and it went away. Then the drivers side window. When I open the window it goes away. This might be a problem in th winter.

I've got the same stamp look on the mirror. It doesn't clean off, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the manufacturer of the mirror.

Probably a mfr code indicaing time of mfr or quality info. Corvettes used to have a little etched code in the glass - thiswas a big deal when trying to do an authentic restoration.

The glasses I am wearing have special Nikon lenses n them - when codesate gets o them, the name Nikon shows , I am betting he same thin is at play here.

The thing is, I first noticed the stamp mark with condensation on the glass. It didn't bother me because I only noticed it when there was condensation, but now it is visible most of the time.
As a matter of fact, it is least visible when the mirrors are dirty, but when the mirrors are cleaned, it is more noticable depending on the angle of the light hitting the mirror (sunlight as well as street lamps etc).

I have the same thing. There was another thread about this issue and several others reported having the same thing. I was thinking someone indicated that they removed the marking somehow, but I'm not sure now what they said they did.

Mark is removeable

I too had a mark that looked like "SEP 08" on both of my side view mirrors. The mark is a transfer from the decal that was on the mirror. Some of the cars at my dealership did not have the mark. I believe a proper PDI should remove the mark. Carefull use of a glass cleaner has removed one of the marks. One must be sure not to damage the mirror in an effor to clean it. I know our light-sensitive interior mirror can easily be damaged with the use of window cleaner. I am not sure if this can afflect our side-view mirrors.
