Injured TL what to do? : (
Basically the paint from the other car rubbed onto mine. i noticed it today after i parked the car by my school. i kinda remember when it happened and i always park in my driveway. This past friday i was parked in a Bank of America parking lot. All the way in the back so none gets near my car. when i came back i noticed a bright blue chevy cavalier parked next to mine, a man in his 60-70s was driving the car. as i was walking towards the car he kinda looked at me and so i started the car and left. the paint on the side of my car is blue too and i also called the bank to see if they had any cameras pointing towards the parking lot and they don't, how stupid seriously what if a bunch of guys come in to rob the bank. how will they find the getaway car seriously. now with the car should i just call the insurance and pay the $1000 deductible which im guessing i have to pay. or use some clay bar wax it down and have someone just paint that area? for a small price. pics will be up soon.
Lesson learned: Whenever someone parked next to your car is eye-fucking you that bad, make a walk around visual inspection before driving away!
I hope you can get it taken care of.

ugh, i've been through this, but it was more than just paint...rear passanger quarter panel near the door had a soft ball sized dent and scrapes to go with it.
no note, nothing. i was swearing like a freakin' truck driver in the parking lot when i saw it.
its probably going to cost you $1000 to fix it. might as well avoid the insurance and just pay out of pocket since that's what you would pay for your deductible. my parking lot hit and run cost me just under $1K to fix.
try as we might to keep our cars out of harms way from moronic drivers in parking lots...shit happens and it sucks.
not much you can do. get the estimate from a really good shop, then decide what route you want to go (ins vs out of pocket).
good luck.

$1000 Deductibles can cost you a $1000.
Unless you can find that 60 - 70 year old man who banks at B of A and drives a bright blue Chevy Cavalier ...
Depends on how bad it is but try to rub it out.
Try various rub compounds or solvents like gasoline.
My wife brushed into the garage door frame and got Farm Red onto
her Pearl White Venza - she used "Krud Kutter" and got it off.

If you're sure that it's only paint from the other car that rubbed off on yours and they didn't leave any deep scratches or anything then I suggest you to go find a professional detailer. My gf's car hit the side of the garage when backing out, leaving blotches of white paint on her blue car and I fixed it up for her with total material cost of less than $40 combined with some elbow grease. I don't suggest doing it yourself though if you are inexperienced with detailing, but a detailer will most likely be able to get it off.
