Question Increased 6MT Navi Production?

Does anyone know if Acura plans to step up production of '04 TL 6MT/Navi models. Right now it is almost impossible to even see one of these cars on a lot.

I don't know if they plan to, but you're right, they are hard to find. I went to one dealership and they had no 6M at all. I called another and they had three 6M, but none had Navi. I test drove one of the non-Navi at the one dealership and ordered one with Navi at the other. I ordered from the one because it's closer to where I work and live.

I just ordered it last week and it should be delivered late April/early May. Works out perfect for me because the turn-in-date on my current lease is May 10th.

I can't friggin wait!!!

Hoffer-

I'm in the Twin Cities as well...getting ready to buy a TL (or order one) in the next couple weeks. I'm open to several color options...so I've been surveying the lots on a regular basis to see what isn't moving (hoping I can entice them to give me a better deal on one of the slow moving models). Last 2 times I have been to White Bear they had about 12 cars...only 1 or 2 with Navi. I just checked Bloomington this weekend...they had 14 cars on the lot...and 5 of them had Navi! (Perhaps these are getting easier to find?) It was interesting to note that every car on their lot was an auto version, but they did a have a better selection of colors than White Bear. I'd appreciate if you could drop me an email and let me know what kind of deal you were able to swing...

Thanks!

I got them down $1200 at Bloomington before ordering my TL. I called the one in White Bear and asked them if they could beat $1200. The guy said that he would match that deal would not go lower. I'm suspicious of the whole thing because both are owned by Luther. I mentioned it to the guy, but he said they are owned by the same guy, but run differently.

There's also a dealership in Apple Valley. I need to give them a call and see what I can swing.

If you get a better deal, let me know.

Hoffer, mnracer,

I used to live in Bloomington. I'd bought my Integra from Burkle Acura do not rember the name of the city though. Check them too while you are cross shopping. Been 7 years I moved to CA.

I too have been trying to get my hands on a MT w/Navi and only found one MT...one in a tri-state area. Currently I am negotiating with one dealer-have been discounted $2,195 but not the color I want. Trying to order what I want at the same discount. Dealer has not commited, but seems like they will. Lets hope.

Opening offer from the folks in White Bear was $1000 off either model (with or without NAV). Based on that...I thought more in the range of $1500 off MSRP might be possible. I'm not familiar with the dealer in Apple Valley...keep me posted on what you find there.

Buerkle Acura is in Brooklyn Park...actually the closest dealer to home for me but they appear to have the least inventory of any local dealer. If I end up ordering a car I'll certainly give them a chance...but I don't see anything on the lot there that interests me.

I didn't mean Apple Valley. I meant to say Golden Valley. Either way, it's probably the one you're talking about in Brooklyn Park.

The guy in Bloomington went to $1000 very easy. He said he absolutely would not do $2000 and wouldn't do $1500 either. After some talking, he finally agreed to $1200.

i turned down a 6MT with navi here in NY because i didn't like the amount if miles on it (79, i know its stupid) but i didn't know it was that hard to come by. i am waiting for one on order instead. it might take a month or two but i can wait. so if anyone wants a SSM 6MT with navi there is one that i turned down.

it's not stupid to turn down that car....even if it's a 6speed/w navi.....the car has too much miles on it already....it was definitely test driven before....

i would've turned down that car too....i would expect a new car to have about 15miles or lower...

I work near Springfield NJ Acura and they have a lot a few blocks away with maybe 70+ tl's and at least 5+6mt you can tell by the brake caliper. Anyway on the main lot they have 15 total at most one was 6mt with nav. I have only heard good things about this dealership but it just seems to it makes sense for a dealer to present a car as hard to get to help maintain a sense of urgency and hold the price.

That dealer will be my last choice when I

am ready to order my TL. Went in there for a brochure one morning and the guy says an order is due in today after lunch. yeah right. Just got bad vibes from the place as it reminds me of your typical highway dealer that I would not believe 1 word they say.

They only have a few (if that many). Though their on-line inventory shows 0 like all the other dealers. But if you do call them CABALL88, make sure you speak to Anthony and tell him you were referred by Acura-TL.com. Their toll-free # is 866-491-1024.

My buying experience there :
