I'm Venting, bear with me

I had an operation on my right foot on Aug 30..... I haven't been able to drive my baby since! I'm dying!!!! Sometimes I go into my garage and start my car up and sit in it. Imagine not being able to drive for almost two months! My neighbor, who's my buddy, washed my car for me early on, it had rained just before my operation and I couldn't wash it.

Got my car in April 06, it's got 4000 miles on it.

guess I'm just a jerk, but it's really starting to get to me.

Thanks for listening.

Dave

I know people who had to drive with their left foot due to a heal-spur operation. Might want to try that.

I completely understand your feelings. I'd be pretty cranky as well and want to vent. What's your ETA for being able to drive again ? Hope it's soon.

For now can you just relax in it, close your eyes and listen to some good tunes ?

Not so sure I'm with the other's on the left food thing. In any kind of panic you'd revert to your right foot (by habit) and possibly undo all, or most, of your recuperation. That would really suck.

Hang in there.

I'm hoping the next time I go to the doctor, in two weeks. I should be in a removable cast (aircast) and the doctor said I should be able to drive then.

Laughing at the post...

I just was browsing through the titles and the preview came up and I started laughing at this poor guy who sits in his car because he can't stand the fact he can't drive it. So I click on it to see what the deal is and it's Dave!!! The guy who bought my All Season mats a couple of months ago.

So suddenly this post has hit home. I'm not laughing anymore. I'm feeling sorry for him.

Dave, If you lived in VA I'd come pick you up tomorrow and we could go to the Acurazine meet in NoVA for a trip down Skyline Drive. It would be a blast. Maybe I'll send you the link to the video and pics when we're done. I hope it'll be better than the pics I saw of the one in FL. (Lame)

I hope you continue to recover quickly and keep that engine running!

Thanks, glad to give you a chuckle. I knew about the operation for awhile so it wasn't a surprise. Thanks for your thoughts.

Don't want to be a buzz-kill...but...It could be worst. I bought my car and less than 500 miles later I had to leave...for Iraq. I spent the next 4 months in Baghdad dodging IEDs and mortars. I'm baaaaaack baby! Hope you recover soon and can get back to your baby.
