Trying to coax my mom into getting one after she returns her Maxima... that car was such a POS.. I am going to test drive the TL this week I think, help her shop around.

Kinda amusing to see you over here. I am the chadr from the rx8forum.com boards (returned the 8 and have a new TL on order). Just amusing to see the same people on pretty vastly different car boards.

 

chadr, I been on the rx8fourm.com board too...seeing if I want an 8 or new TL to replace my currernt TL in 2 years. Why did you return the 8?

 

Long and the short of it was it was a good financial decision for me (I did very well on the return) and my 8 got terrible gas mileage (12-13 city and max 17 highway)

Members of the "ricer" community became an annoyance as well, I am not into someone trying to start a race on a crowded highway or stopping my wife and I in a parking lot to make some inane comment about the car. Perhaps I am just too lowkey for the RX-8 Amazing handling car though, just not the right thing for me.

 

I like all kinds of cars, the RX-8 just fit me best

 

yeh, I reallly like the 8 but the MPG is a concern for me too. I'm hoping they can address that in the near future. Thanks

 

Honestly my understanding is the MPG on the RX-8 is an inherant issue with the rotary engine. I guess it all depends on what you want and such. The 8 just wasn't for me but for Herc it is the right car.

Herc - yeah I didn't mean the 8 was bad or anything like that, just funny how with 100's of millions of people on the internet you run into the same people on seemingly unrelated boards.

 

I went down to Cooley on 4 to look at the 8, and ****, that gray one they have in front.....:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: I was in love.
