Ice Buildup on Back Window
Ice Buildup on Back Window
Well, the hammer of winter finally hit the twin cities yesterday. And the low tonight is supposed to be 4 degrees F!
When I went out to the car after work yesterday I noticed a line of frozen water along the inside bottom of my rear window. Has anyone ever seen this before? I have had ice buildup in the windows of my previous car but that was all over the window- not just in this one place. And that was usually from any snow that I dragged into the car that sublimated onto the colder glass. No snow so far this year.
I noticed that the ice was just above what appears to be a vent along the bottom of the window. Could there have been water in the vent that condensed on the window? Is this vent for defrosting the back window? I thought that is what the window wires were for. Did I miss something? If so, smack me.
I hope it goes away, I don't want ice to keep building up, melting, over and over getting my back deck wet.
Thanks-
Travis
